bending bike

Jul 20 2010

Found this cool bendy bike designed by student Kevin Scott. He designed this unusual bending bike that not only folds up tightly but can be used to locks itself up. Check out more at- http://www.dsgnwrld.com/the-bending-bike-can-be-used-to-lock-itself-up-1...

I was looking up Toe Jam for a product that I am working on and I came across this great video. I love the internet and all its little surprises. You just never know what else you will find.

Wonderlamps

Posted by ideaka
Jul 6 2010

I saw these amazing lamps (sculptures) on mocoloco and was blown away. When I see things like this I think to myself why didn't I do that or why didn't I think of that. One of these days I am going to get my crazy lamp ideas produced. In the mean time take a look at these beautiful creations.

Wonderlamp by: Studio Job & Pieke Bergmans

Cast bronze meets mouth-blown crystal when Studio Job collaborates with Pieke Bergmans in the Wonderlamp exhibition of light sculptures presented at the Dilmos Gallery in Milan's Brera district. Everyday implements take on a new aspect as the lit glass balloons out as though frisky marshmallow escaping from the bronze. The seriousness of the bronze objects is made more playful by the addition of light, and captured together the seven items make for an odd fantasy lightscape.

4th of July

Posted by ideaka
Jul 4 2010

Grilled meat is the official meat of ideak. We had a very international 4th here today. One American & one Chinese consuming Belgium Hefeweizen, Italian Grappa, American steak and Nathans hot dogs. That's how we celebrated the birth of America. Happy 4th everyone. Oh and I watched Born on the 4th of July inside with the A/C on. Thank you A/C I love you.

brain freeze soup

Posted by ideaka
Jul 2 2010

This was sent in from my friend Denis Kushnarev from Smolensk, Russia. He said when it is scorchingly hot outside
they make cold borscht and dip their brains in it. Thanks Denis for the great picture.

PS: I didn't know what borscht is and maybe you don't too so I looked it up. It is a soup of Slavic origins that is made with beetroot as the main ingredient. Yummy ? (not my thing)

Jul 2 2010

My new shirts just came in and I am so F'ing happy ! Nothing like waiting to the last minute right, my sale is tomorrow. Having 400 of your own shirts is pretty amazing but now I have to fold them all. I want to put them all on at the same time, is that odd ? Next up... sell sell sell.

(These are the first images taken from my cell phone, they are not so good. I was so excited to post them I couldn't wait.)

Brain bites are a bust :( and they taste like crayons from the night before. Reminder to self and others don't use the same mold for food and non food products. Next up candles & soap.

Brainbow Crayons™

Posted by ideaka
Jun 30 2010

I present to you Brianbow Crayons™

So this is my first real attempt making these and I think that they came out pretty good. I am thinking about selling them, what do people think ? I think they may have to be limited run because they take a long time to make. I will have to talk to my friend Tim Liles who made the Crayon Rings about some tricks to manufacturing them http://www.timothyliles.com/#ea0/tumblr
